Grandkids, have I told you how afraid we were when Ryde replaced human drivers with self-driven AIs?
We didn’t need to be. Accidents plummeted. But we missed chatting with a driver. So, Ryde developed unique voices, then whole personalities, for the AIs. Wasn’t long before Hollywood celebs were licensing their voices, mannerisms, and personalities.
Maybe it was a bug. Or a hack. Perhaps some experiment accidently migrated into production. Anyway, those personalities went from being just a voice to how the car was driven.
“You comin’ or what?”
